¹⁵ It will be the ·weakest [most lowly/insignificant] kingdom, and it will never again ·rule [^Lexalt itself over] other nations. I will make it so ·weak [small] it will never again rule over the nations. ¹⁶ The Israelites will never again ·depend on [rely on; have confidence in] Egypt. Instead, ·Egypt’s punishment [^Lit] will remind the Israelites of their sin in turning to Egypt for help. Then they will know that I am the Lord God.’”
